Historic Rally Showcases Martial Traditions, Community Solidarity as Multiple Rajput Organizations Join Hands for the First Time

The birth anniversary of the valiant warrior and national icon, Maharana Pratap, was celebrated with immense zeal and unity by the Rajput community in Rajnandgaon. The event was marked by a spectacular Shobha Yatra (grand procession) starting from the historic Sheetla Temple premises and traversing through key parts of the city. This year’s celebration stood out for its spirit of solidarity, as two prominent organizations—Chhattisgarh Rajput Mahasabha and Chhattisgarh Rajput Samaj Rahatadaah 1282—joined forces for the first time, sending a strong message of unity across the community.

The festivities began early in the morning with a garlanding ceremony at the Maharana Pratap Chowk, where the statue of the legendary warrior was adorned with floral tributes. Members of the Rajput Mahasabha paid their respects and reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the values of courage, unity, and sacrifice exemplified by Maharana Pratap. Speakers encouraged the community to continue walking on the path shown by the revered hero, emphasizing unity and pride in heritage.

Following the tribute, the grand procession was flagged off from Sheetla Temple. Clad in traditional attire, the youth of the community mesmerized spectators with displays of sword fighting, martial arts, and acrobatics, showcasing the martial legacy of the Rajput clan. The vibrant rally marched through the city’s main routes and reached Manav Mandir Chowk, where it was joined by former Member of Parliament Abhishek Singh.
Addressing the gathering, Singh lauded Maharana Pratap as a symbol of resistance and inspiration, stating, “His life teaches us never to give up, no matter how adverse the circumstances. The Rajput community has always led from the front in matters of national interest and faith.”
The rally witnessed the presence of key figures including District BJP President Komal Singh Rajput, President Bhupendra Singh Kshatriya, Karni Sena State Vice President Sanjay Bahadur Singh, and several other notable leaders and youth representatives. Noteworthy participants included Raghunandan Singh Thakur, Devendra Bais, Monu Thakur, Vivek Rajput, Youth President Goldy Bhadauria, RN Singh, Deepesh Singh, Kapil Singh Chauhan, and many more.
Equally active was the women’s wing, led by President Shashi Chauhan, Secretary Madhuri Thakur, along with Chhaya Thakur, Kirti Vinod, Satya Singh, Sushila Singh, and Surekha Singh, who brought strength and grace to the event through their spirited participation.
Senior leaders such as Vani Vilas Gautam, Bhanupratap Thakur, Ashwini Thakur, and Narottam Pawar were also present, underscoring the significance of this united celebration.
The event not only honored the valiant legacy of Maharana Pratap but also underscored the power of unity within the Rajput community. It sent a resounding message that the spirit of heritage and pride remains alive and well, particularly among the younger generations and women of the community.
