Bollywood playback singer Jubin Nautiyal will headline the much-anticipated musical event Raag Nandgaon on October 15, as Rajnandgaon prepares for an evening of popular songs, devotional music and a spectacular digital fireworks show.

The grand programme is being organised by the Yuva Welfare Foundation to mark the 74th birthday of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Assembly Speaker and local MLA Dr Raman Singh. Preparations at Digvijay Stadium are in their final stages, with approximately 60,000 spectators expected to attend.

Nautiyal will perform alongside his band on a specially constructed stage, entertaining audiences with his well-known devotional songs and Bollywood hits. His popular tracks include Mere Ghar Ram Aaye Hain, Shri Krishna Govind Hare Murari, Kaun Kehte Hain Bhagwan Aate Nahi, Humnava Mere, Raatan Lambiyan and Kinna Sona.

Governor, Chief Minister and Other Dignitaries Expected

The event is expected to draw several prominent guests, including Chhattisgarh Governor Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, members of the state Cabinet, political leaders, business representatives and social workers.

Foundation President Bhavesh Baid said preparations had been underway for a week. He described the programme as an unprecedented event of this scale for the city, adding that it would also be the first event of its kind at Digvijay Stadium.

According to Baid, excitement among young people and residents across Rajnandgaon has been building steadily. All complimentary passes for the event were exhausted on October 13, reflecting the strong public interest, he said.

100-Foot Stage and Half-Hour Digital Fireworks Show

A 100-foot-long stage has been constructed for Nautiyal and his band. A 40-foot-high truss structure behind the stage will support special visual effects during the performance.

A sound team from Indore has been brought in for the programme, and sound testing has begun. Another major attraction will be a digital fireworks show, for which a team from Nagpur has been engaged. The colourful display is scheduled to run for approximately 30 minutes, lighting up the sky above the venue.

The organisers expect the combination of live music, stage effects and fireworks to make the evening a memorable experience for audiences.

‘Raag Nandgaon’ Continues Its Musical Tradition

Over the years, Raag Nandgaon has established a distinct identity in Rajnandgaon’s cultural calendar. The event has previously hosted renowned poet and actor Shailesh Lodha, celebrated poet Kumar Vishwas and Bollywood singer Kailash Kher.

This year’s programme featuring Jubin Nautiyal is expected to draw a particularly large audience to the stadium.

Emergency Medical Facilities and Crowd Management

The organisers said arrangements have been made with the administration for emergency medical facilities and other essential services to minimise inconvenience to spectators.

Given the anticipated crowd, Foundation President Bhavesh Baid has appealed to music lovers and attendees to reach Digvijay Stadium by 6 pm to secure their places and avoid difficulties during the event.

With preparations nearing completion, Rajnandgaon is set for a major musical evening combining Bollywood hits, devotional favourites and a half-hour digital fireworks display.
