26th State-Level School Sports Competition Concludes at Digvijay Stadium in Rajnandgaon; Winners and Runners-Up Honoured

The 26th State-Level School Sports Competition concluded with a prize distribution ceremony held at the Indoor Hall of Digvijay Stadium in Rajnandgaon. Participants and teams securing first, second and third positions in various sporting disciplines were honoured during the closing ceremony.
The Raipur Division secured the Overall Championship Shield, emerging as the overall champion of the 26th State-Level School Sports Competition.
Final Results Across Major Sporting Disciplines
In 17-year Boys’ Hockey, Bilaspur Division secured first place, followed by Durg Division in second and Raipur Division in third place.
In the 17-year Girls’ Hockey category, Bilaspur Division finished first, Durg Division second and Bastar Division third.
In 14-year Boys’ Badminton, Bilaspur Division secured first place, Raipur Division second and Durg Division third. In the 14-year Girls’ Badminton category, Raipur Division finished first, Durg Division second and Bilaspur Division third.
In 19-year Girls’ Cricket, Surguja Division emerged as the winner, while Durg Division secured second place and Bilaspur Division finished third.
Raipur Dominates Yoga Events
Raipur Division delivered a strong performance across the Yoga events.
In 14-year Boys’ Yoga, Raipur Division secured first place, Bilaspur Division second and Surguja Division third. In the 14-year Girls’ Yoga category, Raipur Division finished first, followed by Bilaspur Division and Durg Division.
In 17-year Boys’ Yoga, Raipur Division secured first place, Bilaspur Division second and Durg Division third. In the 17-year Girls’ Yoga category, Raipur Division finished first, Bilaspur Division second and Surguja Division third.

In 19-year Boys’ Yoga, Raipur Division secured first place, Durg Division second and Bilaspur Division third. In the 19-year Girls’ Yoga category, Raipur Division again finished first, followed by Bilaspur Division in second and Surguja Division in third.
Five Divisions Participate in State-Level Competition
Raipur Division emerged as the Overall Champion after displaying strong sporting skills and discipline across its events. Winners and runners-up in the different categories were presented trophies and certificates during the ceremony.
The competition witnessed participation from all five divisions of the state — Bastar, Bilaspur, Surguja, Raipur and host Durg. Events were organised in Hockey for boys and girls aged 17 years, Yoga for boys and girls in the 14, 17 and 19-year categories, Badminton for boys and girls aged 14 years, and Cricket for boys aged 19 years.
Teams from different divisions competed in a series of exciting matches, with players demonstrating sporting skills, discipline and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
Cultural Presentation Marks Closing Ceremony
A cultural presentation was also organised during the closing ceremony, featuring boys and girls participating in Yoga.
The ceremony was attended by Organisation Secretary and District Education Officer Pravas Kumar Singh Baghel, Assistant Director Sports, Durg Division Kalpana Swami, retired Assistant Director Education Aditya Khare, DMC Rajnandgaon Satish Vyaohare, and members of the Technical Committee of the Directorate of Public Instruction, Raipur, including Brijbhushan Singh Thakur, Lal Bahadur Sonkar and Varun Pandey.
In-charge District Sports Officer Devendra Singh Thakur, along with General Managers, coaches and student players from all participating divisions, were also present.
The programme was conducted by Sheetal Das, lecturer at Government Higher Secondary School Bhanpuri, and Somu Prasanna, Physical Education Teacher. The vote of thanks was delivered by Shailendra Tiwari, lecturer and Field Marshal at Government Higher Secondary School Shankarpur.
