Youth undergo free health screening and receive guidance on nutrition, mental well-being, physical fitness and staying away from addiction

A ‘Mera Swasthya, Mera Garv’ programme was organised at District Hospital Rajnandgaon by MY Bharat Rajnandgaon under the 100-Week Drug-Free Youth Campaign, with the objective of creating awareness among young people about physical health and encouraging them to adopt a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle.
As part of the programme, participating youth underwent free health check-ups, including assessment of blood pressure, blood sugar and Body Mass Index (BMI), along with other necessary physical health parameters.
Following the health screening, experts provided medical guidance to the participants on maintaining a healthy daily routine and adopting an appropriate lifestyle.
Guidance Session Focuses on Nutrition and Drug-Free Living
A special guidance session was organised after the health examinations, focusing on the overall development of youth, proper nutrition and freedom from addiction.

Experts provided information on appropriate dietary habits and physical fitness measures aimed at improving energy and productivity among young people.
The session also highlighted the adverse impact of addiction on the career, mental health and overall progress of young people.
Under the ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva Se Viksit Bharat’ campaign, participants took a pledge to remain free from addiction and create awareness among people around them about the harmful effects of substance use.
Experts Share Health and Mental Wellness Guidance
Dr. Vikas Rathore, District NCD Advisor, briefed the youth about prevention of non-communicable diseases and the importance of regular health check-ups.
Priya Singh, Psychologist, Mental Health Department, spoke about stress management and psychological techniques to stay away from addiction.
Geetu Sahu, Social Worker, Tobacco Control Programme, provided information about the harmful effects of tobacco and measures for overcoming tobacco dependence.
Roopa Mankar, Senior Nursing Officer, Mental Health Department, shared suggestions related to better nutrition and daily self-care among youth.

‘Healthy and Addiction-Free Youth Are Foundation of Strong Society’
Vaishali Mardawar, Deputy Director, Social Welfare, said that healthy and addiction-free youth form the foundation of a strong society.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Shubhjeet Dey, District Youth Officer, MY Bharat.
MY Bharat volunteers Dineshwar Sahu, Akash Tiwari, Gaurav Yadav, Chaitanya Sahu, Domendra Nishad and other volunteers provided special support in the organisation, coordination and conduct of the programme.
