In a significant step toward strengthening rural power infrastructure, an additional power transformer was successfully commissioned at the 33/11 KV substation in Khadgaon under the Chief Minister Power Infrastructure Development Scheme of the Chhattisgarh government.
The 3.15 MVA transformer, installed at a cost of ₹48 lakh, was inaugurated in the presence of Manpur Janpad Panchayat President Pushpa Mandavi along with local public representatives and officials. The project aims to enhance electricity infrastructure in the forested regions of Mohla–Manpur–Ambagarh Chowki district.
Capacity Doubled, Power Supply to Improve
With the installation of the additional transformer, the total capacity of the Khadgaon substation has increased from 3.15 MVA to 6.30 MVA. According to Executive Director Shirish Selat, the upgrade will provide relief from low-voltage issues and frequent tripping problems that previously affected consumers in the region.
The enhanced infrastructure is expected to directly benefit nearly 2,542 agricultural and domestic consumers across 31 villages, ensuring uninterrupted and quality power supply, especially during the crucial agricultural season when irrigation demand peaks.
