City to Host ‘Jal Yatra’ Today as Part of Water Conservation Mega Campaign

In response to the growing global water crisis, Rajnandgaon will witness a grand ‘Jal Yatra’ on June 11, 2025, under the ongoing Water Conservation Mega Campaign. The procession, led by Padma Shri Fulbasan Yadav, will begin at 2:30 PM from Gayatri Mandir and culminate at Gandhi Sabhagrah, where Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and MP Santosh Pandey will address the gathering.

To raise awareness about water conservation in the semi-critical Rajnandgaon district, a symbolic Water Kalash Yatra was organized in Kirgi village under the leadership of Padma Shri awardee Phoolbasan Yadav. The initiative, part of a broader campaign titled Neer aur Naari Jal Yatra, aimed to inspire community participation in safeguarding water resources for future generations.
