A special photo exhibition on ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’, ‘Vande Mataram’ and the Remembrance Day of the Horrors of Partition was organised at the Rajnandgaon Collectorate. The exhibition showcased the 150-year journey of Vande Mataram, the evolution of the Tricolour and the sacrifices of freedom fighters, while a special selfie zone added an interactive element for visitors.

BJP Rajnandgaon district president Komal Singh Rajput criticised Congress over its reported decision to restrict Vande Mataram to its first two stanzas at party platforms, accusing the party of placing its CWC decision above the law. In a separate statement, Rajput welcomed Chhattisgarh Cabinet approval of the ₹500-crore State AI Mission, which will be implemented over five years and includes 100 AI data labs, five Centres of Excellence, support for 300+ AI startups and specialised AI training for 6 lakh students and 1.5 lakh government employees.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced that singing the national song Vande Mataram will now be mandatory in all schools, colleges, and educational institutions across the state. The move, made during a massive ‘Ekta Yatra’ in Gorakhpur, aims to instill patriotism, unity, and cultural pride among students. Marking 150 years of the iconic song that played a pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle, the decision is being seen as a strong step to reinforce national identity and counter divisive tendencies.

India has launched year-long celebrations for the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. PM Modi called the national song a mantra of unity and urged promotion of its full rendition. Cultural events and youth programs will continue through 2025-26.
