The Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation has stepped up its cattle catching drive, seizing eight stray animals from city areas and resolving complaints under Nidan 1100, while urging cattle owners to keep their animals restrained to prevent traffic disruption and accidents.

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav and SP Mohit Garg reviewed district road safety measures, directing identification of accident-prone areas, improved lighting, traffic regulation, and strict control of stray animals on highways. They emphasized better coordination among departments to reduce road mishaps and enhance public safety.

The Rajnandgaon Police, in collaboration with a public committee, have installed a sturdy railing barricade on the Chikhli-Khairagarh Road Railway Overbridge, known as the city’s lifeline. This initiative aims to regulate traffic, prevent accidents, and enhance pedestrian safety on one of Rajnandgaon’s busiest routes. The community-driven effort has been widely appreciated by local residents, marking a significant step towards improving the city’s infrastructure and public safety.
