District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh participated in the Swachhata Festival organised in Tilaiwar and Tappa villages of Dongargaon block, leading an awareness rally and addressing villagers on the importance of cleanliness, waste segregation and community participation in keeping rural areas healthy.

During a field inspection in Tilaiwar and Tappa villages, District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh urged beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin to immediately begin construction of their pending houses. She directed local officials to ensure timely availability of construction materials and skilled labour.

CEO District Panchayat Suruchi Singh chaired a district-level review meeting on the Gaudham Scheme, emphasizing the establishment of Gaudhams near national highways in rural areas and ensuring scientific conservation of stray cattle. Key officials discussed fodder development, cattle breed improvement, and employment opportunities under the scheme.

During her visit to Rajnandgaon, Principal Secretary Niharika Barik Singh reviewed women-led livelihood projects including a chickpea processing unit, herbal gulal packaging centre, and e-rickshaw distribution. She praised the efforts of SHG women under NRLM, noting their significant role in rural entrepreneurship and income generation.

Principal Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Smt. Niharika Barik Singh reviewed sanitation and water conservation initiatives in Rajnandgaon, praising the district’s efforts under Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural). She also planted a sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign during her inspection visit.

In Rajnandgaon, CEO District Panchayat Ms. Suruchi Singh directed Women & Child Development, Health, and NRLM officials to ensure no pregnant woman or malnourished child is deprived of government services. She stressed awareness campaigns, iron supplementation, and institutional deliveries while urging families to adopt nutritious diets during ongoing Poshan Maah and Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign.

A Service Marathon organized in Rajnandgaon under Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav, Seva Pakhwada, and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan spread a strong message of de-addiction and healthy living. Supported by Samata Jan Kalyan Samiti, the event saw enthusiastic participation from youth, differently-abled citizens, and the community at large.

Ahead of the upcoming Sharadiya Navratri festival, District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh inspected preparations for the Dongargarh fair at Maa Bamleshwari Dham. She reviewed arrangements for pedestrian routes, service camps, drinking water, medical care, sanitation, and other facilities, issuing necessary directions to ensure smooth convenience for devotees.

The Rajnandgaon district administration has nominated prominent citizens and Janpad representatives to Jivandeep Committees in Primary Health Centers, aiming to boost community-driven healthcare governance and improve rural medical services.

Rajnandgaon district has launched a digital transparency drive under MGNREGA, introducing QR codes at gram panchayat offices. Villagers can now scan codes on their phones to instantly access details of sanctioned works, progress, expenditure, and worker participation from the last three years.
