Chhattisgarh Hockey’s 17th Annual General Meeting was held at the International Hockey Stadium in Rajnandgaon, focusing on strengthening hockey infrastructure, promoting talent, and finalizing venues for upcoming tournaments.
A high-level meeting of the Digdarshan Stadium Management Committee was held under the chairmanship of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure to chart the roadmap for enhancing sports activities in Rajnandgaon. Plans include a state-of-the-art synthetic badminton court, box courts under the city flyover, and improved maintenance infrastructure, all funded by a ₹6 crore state grant.
The month-long summer sports training camp at Kamaladevi Rathi Government Women’s Postgraduate College, Rajnandgaon concluded on April 29, 2025, with over 75 school and college students participating in disciplines such as kabaddi, badminton, yoga, and archery.
Rajnandgaon is set to witness a historic transformation in athletics infrastructure as the government approves the construction of a state-of-the-art synthetic track, thanks to the continued efforts of Assembly Speaker and local MLA Dr. Raman Singh.
