Under the guidance of Collector Jitendra Yadav, the Social Welfare Department Rajnandgaon, in collaboration with ALIMCO, organised life-support device assessment and identification camps across all development blocks. The main camp held at Gandhi Sabha Grih assessed hundreds of senior citizens for assistive equipment aimed at improving mobility, comfort, and quality of life.
ALIMCO, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, organised an identification and assessment camp in Rajnandgaon to provide free assistive devices to eligible senior citizens under a CSR initiative.
Under the Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana, 800 pilgrims from four districts were flagged off from Rajnandgaon to visit Haridwar, Rishikesh, and Bharat Mata Temple aboard the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train.
On the completion of five years of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’, Rajnandgaon hosted a large anti-addiction pledge ceremony where Mayor Madhusudan Yadav led the pledge. Cultural performances by students and social organizations highlighted the harmful effects of addiction and reinforced the call for a drug-free society.

The event showcased inclusive participation, with special school children delivering inspiring performances and beneficiaries receiving essential support services.
A Service Marathon organized in Rajnandgaon under Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav, Seva Pakhwada, and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan spread a strong message of de-addiction and healthy living. Supported by Samata Jan Kalyan Samiti, the event saw enthusiastic participation from youth, differently-abled citizens, and the community at large.
As part of the Seva Pakhwada being observed from September 17 to October 2 on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, the Social Welfare Department of Rajnandgaon has flagged off a “Disability Service Rath.” The Rath will visit 110 villages in Chhuriya block, spreading awareness about welfare schemes for Divyangjans and collecting data on 21 categories of disabilities. In addition, service camps will be organized at Janpad Panchayats between September 20 and 28 to provide services such as Aadhaar enrollment and correction, Ayushman card generation, transport passes, disability pension applications, marriage incentives, and assistive device assessments. Authorities have urged maximum participation from Divyangjans to avail these benefits.
