Rajnandgaon district has received approval for over 40,000 houses under PM Awas Yojana–Gramin in the past two years, with more than 23,000 already completed and focused efforts underway to speed up construction.

A Good Governance Week camp under the ‘Administration to the Village’ campaign was held in Baghera, Rajnandgaon, where PMAY-G approval letters were distributed, housewarming ceremonies conducted, and multiple government departments provided welfare services and awareness to villagers from 27 Gram Panchayats.
During a field inspection in Tilaiwar and Tappa villages, District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh urged beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin to immediately begin construction of their pending houses. She directed local officials to ensure timely availability of construction materials and skilled labour.
Acting Collector and CEO of Zila Panchayat, Mrs. Bharti Chandrakar, participated in the 'Gramin Awas Pragati Sabha' organized at Sitagaon and Karekatta villages under Manpur block. The initiative aims to resolve issues faced by rural housing beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and ensure timely completion of construction through technical guidance and local capacity building.
