The Agriculture Department secured first place at the district-level Republic Day celebrations in Rajnandgaon with its visually engaging and eco-friendly tableau, highlighting key government schemes for farmers, sustainable agriculture, and environmental awareness.

Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh on Republic Day inaugurated a journalists’ residential complex built over 10 acres in Rajnandgaon, calling it a shining example of unity and collective effort within the media fraternity. The project, valued at ₹3.79 crore, will provide homes to 141 journalists, while additional water infrastructure works worth ₹49 lakh were also launched.

Ahead of Republic Day, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav inspected preparations at Digvijay Stadium and issued key directions on seating, parking, cultural events, tableaux and award distribution to ensure a smooth and dignified celebration.
