Rajnandgaon’s Aastha Deaf and Mute School students won five medals at the state-level Para Yogasana competition in Raigarh, including one gold, two silver and two bronze medals. All five athletes have qualified for the national-level competition.

The grand finale of the CJ Rajnandgaon Premier League (RPL) Season 2, organised by the Neelu Sharma Fans Club, concluded with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship, witnessing CRS Sonkar Rajnandgaon emerge as champions after a thrilling final match.

Chhattisgarh’s junior boys’ hockey team made a strong start at the 15th Hockey India Junior Men’s National Championship 2025 by defeating Goa 5-1 in Jalandhar. Captain Mohit Nayak scored twice, and Karan Sahu was named Man of the Match. Meanwhile, the junior girls’ team secured a respectable fourth place at the national tournament in Kakinada, showcasing impressive performances throughout.

A high-level meeting of the Digdarshan Stadium Management Committee was held under the chairmanship of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure to chart the roadmap for enhancing sports activities in Rajnandgaon. Plans include a state-of-the-art synthetic badminton court, box courts under the city flyover, and improved maintenance infrastructure, all funded by a ₹6 crore state grant.

Rajnandgaon is set to witness a historic transformation in athletics infrastructure as the government approves the construction of a state-of-the-art synthetic track, thanks to the continued efforts of Assembly Speaker and local MLA Dr. Raman Singh.
