Rajnandgaon Police have uncovered a massive cyber fraud involving digital arrest intimidation and fake online share trading, resulting in losses of over ₹2 crore. Following coordinated raids in Gurugram, Sehore and Indore, four accused were arrested and a network of mule-account providers, crypto-based commission agents and technical operatives was exposed.
A knife attack at Manav Mandir Chowk late Tuesday night prompted an exceptionally swift response from Rajnandgaon police, who reached the scene in seven minutes and arrested the accused within 15–20 minutes. The victim, Anup Yadav, was rushed to the Medical College and later referred to Raipur, while police assured strict action through fast-track proceedings.

In a significant crackdown on the illegal liquor trade, the Excise Department in Rajnandgaon has seized 16.380 bulk litres of country liquor, including Santri-brand liquor manufactured in Maharashtra, along with a motorcycle used for transportation. The action follows the directives of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure to curb liquor smuggling and public intoxication.
