Senior Khubchand Parakh of the Bharatiya Janata Party has praised the 2026–27 Budget presented by Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary, calling it a growth-oriented and inclusive roadmap aligned with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s vision for a developed Chhattisgarh. Highlighting irrigation expansion, new medical colleges, sports infrastructure, and industrial incentives, he also credited former Chief Minister Raman Singh for foundational development in Rajnandgaon that will support future investment and employment.

Criticising the Union Budget 2026, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary and Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha In-charge Shahid Bhai has termed the Centre’s “Viksit Bharat 2047” narrative hollow, stating that when even previous budget allocations remain unspent, long-term promises hold little value. He alleged sharp cuts in key social sectors and called the budget a complete failure in addressing economic challenges faced by common citizens.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has sharply criticized the central government following the deadly blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, questioning repeated intelligence lapses despite high-security protocols. Calling for full transparency, Yadav demanded the Centre disclose the conspiracy behind the attack and explain why national security continues to be compromised at such symbolic locations. Investigations are underway, with the NIA probing possible terror links.
