Employment and Housing Day was organised on a large scale across all gram panchayats of Rajnandgaon Janpad Panchayat to spread awareness about MGNREGA, PMAY-G and rural livelihood schemes.
Employment and Housing Day will now be observed on the 7th of every month in all gram panchayats of Rajnandgaon district to promote awareness about government welfare schemes related to housing, employment, and rural livelihoods.
A Good Governance Week camp under the ‘Administration to the Village’ campaign was held in Baghera, Rajnandgaon, where PMAY-G approval letters were distributed, housewarming ceremonies conducted, and multiple government departments provided welfare services and awareness to villagers from 27 Gram Panchayats.
During a field inspection in Tilaiwar and Tappa villages, District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh urged beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Gramin to immediately begin construction of their pending houses. She directed local officials to ensure timely availability of construction materials and skilled labour.
A unique initiative in Mohla district is empowering rural youth through masonry training under the PMAY-G scheme. Spearheaded by Collector Tulika Prajapati, the program is simultaneously creating self-employment opportunities and accelerating the completion of dream homes for villagers.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin), a housewarming ceremony was organized for two beneficiaries in Nawagaon (Pinkapar), Chhuriya block, with the special presence of Zila Panchayat President Mrs. Kiran Ravindra Vaishnav. She stated that the scheme is turning the dream of a permanent home into reality for countless poor families. A total of 138 houses have been sanctioned in the village. The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to providing dignified and secure housing for every eligible family.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of District Panchayat, Ms. Suruchi Singh, conducted a detailed review of the ongoing Su-ashasan Tihar and the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) - Rural, through video conferencing. During the meeting, she provided essential directions to relevant officials on completing surveys and applications for various welfare schemes. Additionally, she emphasized improving water conservation efforts, particularly the recharge shafts, and the integration of women into the Sangam Abhiyan under the National Rural Livelihood Mission. A special focus was placed on ensuring timely completion of all ongoing projects, including the Swachh Bharat Mission initiatives.
