Rajnandgaon Administration Intensifies Crackdown on Illegal Paddy Trade During Kharif Marketing Season 2025–26

Acting on the directives of Collector Jitendra Yadav, authorities in Rajnandgaon have ramped up enforcement against illegal paddy trade. With fresh seizures recorded on November 29, the district has now confiscated over 15,457 quintals of illegal paddy and eight vehicles since the start of the 2025–26 Kharif marketing season.

Illegal Paddy Trade Crackdown Intensifies in Rajnandgaon: Over 207 Quintals Seized in a Single Day

Rajnandgaon district intensified its crackdown on illegal paddy trade, seizing 207 quintals in a single day and pushing total seizures this season to 3,859 quintals valued at ₹1.19 crore. The administration warned middlemen of potential criminal action and deployed 24-hour teams at inter-state check-posts to curb unauthorized grain movement.
