Rajnandgaon has become the first district in the state to begin soybean procurement at Minimum Support Price under the Price Support Scheme, ensuring direct MSP benefits to farmers through NAFED’s online system.
Farmers in Rajnandgaon will hold a Kisan Swabhiman Rally today to protest alleged irregularities in paddy procurement, delayed payments and illegal deductions, pressing a 12-point charter of demands before the administration.
The Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26 paddy procurement campaign has generated widespread satisfaction among farmers in Rajnandgaon. With smooth administrative arrangements and transparent processes, the district has so far procured 19,18,140 quintals of paddy worth ₹455.57 crore, while the lifting process remains in steady progress.
A severe technical glitch that prevented hundreds of farmers from Keargi (B) village in Dongargaon tehsil from receiving procurement tokens has finally been resolved after former MP Abhishek Singh intervened and coordinated with state-level officials and NIC New Delhi. With token issuance restarted, affected farmers can now sell their paddy at the MSP.
Government-backed schemes such as the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and Krishak Unnati Yojana are transforming the lives of farmers in Rajnandgaon, enabling them to expand their agricultural activities and fulfil long-awaited dreams. Bargahi farmer Sevak Ram, who arrived at the Dhaba paddy procurement centre with 190 quintals of paddy, expressed gratitude to the government, highlighting how last year’s income allowed him to purchase farmland and increase production, while this year’s earnings will help him build a new home.
Benefiting from the Minimum Support Price (MSP) and Krishak Unnati Yojana, farmer Santosh Devangan from Bhendikala expressed gratitude for timely paddy procurement at ₹3,100 per quintal and said the policy has freed him from taking loans while motivating him toward modern, double-crop farming.
Rajnandgaon’s paddy procurement season is strengthening farmer incomes, with many using last year’s earnings to invest in borewells, sprinklers, and motorcycles. Transparent MSP-based procurement and the Krishak Unnati Yojana are boosting confidence and drawing more farmers toward agriculture.

With the paddy procurement season set to begin on November 15, Rajnandgaon district has completed all arrangements across its 96 purchase centres. This year, over 1.28 lakh farmers have registered, and tokens are being issued online through the “Token Tunhar Hath” mobile app to ensure transparency and smooth operations.
