As part of the second phase of the Gau Samman Ahwan Abhiyan, more than three lakh signatures collected in Rajnandgaon were submitted through the District Magistrate to the President of India, the Prime Minister, the Governor and the Chief Minister. Across the country, the campaign submitted memorandums supported by over 15 crore signatures, reiterating more than 30 demands related to cow protection and welfare.

The Mahakal Sena Rajnandgaon, in association with Shiva devotees of the city, will organise the grand Sawan Palki Yatra of Baba Shri Mahakal (Chandramauleshwar form) on August 6. The religious procession will pass through major routes of Rajnandgaon before concluding at Tulsipur Sangam Chowk amid devotional celebrations.

The Muslim community of Rajnandgaon felicitated Commonwealth Games silver medallist Gyaneshwari Yadav during a grand civic reception organised by the Municipal Corporation and Jai Bhawani Vyayamshala. Community leaders praised her achievement, describing it as a source of pride for the nation and an inspiration for young athletes.

Pankaj Bandhaw, State President of the Akhil Bharat Anusuchit Jati Parishad, has demanded government jobs for one family member of each Chhattisgarh migrant worker killed in the Kulgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. He also called for stronger security measures for migrant workers and strict action against those responsible for the attack.
