Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gangaikonda Cholapuram on July 27 to commemorate the 1,000th anniversary of Emperor Rajendra Chola I’s Southeast Asian maritime expedition. During the grand event, coinciding with the Aadi Thiruvathirai festival, Modi will release a commemorative coin honoring the legendary Chola emperor.
