The Chhattisgarh High Court has severely reprimanded Raipur’s Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital for publicly displaying a woman’s HIV status, calling the act “inhuman and unethical.” Taking suo motu cognizance, the court directed the state government to ensure patient confidentiality, initiate disciplinary action, and implement sensitivity training across hospitals to protect the dignity and privacy of all patients.
