For the first time, private hospitals will set up free medical camps during the Chaitra Navratri fair at Maa Bamleshwari Temple in Dongargarh. The initiative by the Rajnandgaon district administration aims to provide better healthcare facilities, emergency services and free medicines to thousands of devotees and padyatris visiting the shrine.
A week-long free cancer screening and consultation camp under the Suraksha Chakra initiative will be held at Government Medical College Pendri, Rajnandgaon, from January 19 to 25, offering mammography, oral and gynecological cancer tests with expert medical consultation.
A block-level free AYUSH medical camp was organised in Kolihapuri village of Dongargarh block, benefiting 518 patients and providing Swarnaprashan to 128 children, along with health screenings and awareness on lifestyle-related diseases.
