Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has extended the mandi fee exemption for rice exporters by another year, announcing the decision at the India International Rice Summit in Raipur. The move is expected to boost rice exports, benefit farmers, and strengthen the state’s agri-export ecosystem.

Farmers in Rajnandgaon district have time till December 31 to insure their Rabi crops under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) for the 2025–26 season. He also emphasized issuing Kisan Credit Cards to support farmers with zero-interest loans.

Acting on complaints of fertilizer black marketing, the district administration conducted raids at two retail shops in Chhuriya and Rajnandgaon blocks, recovering large quantities of urea and other fertilizers being sold illegally at inflated prices. FIRs have been filed under the Essential Commodities Act.
