The administration warned middlemen of potential criminal action and deployed 24-hour teams at inter-state check-posts to curb unauthorized grain movement.

The Rajnandgaon administration has intensified its crackdown on illegal paddy sales, seizing 820 quintals worth ₹25.42 lakh in a latest raid. With total seizures now at 1,804 quintals and two vehicles, authorities have set up interstate check-posts and ordered strict action against traders storing paddy illegally.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated the Maa Bamleshwari Environmental Parikrama Path in Dongargarh, featuring over 10,000 trees, deity statues, and wildlife illustrations. The 3.5 km eco-friendly route promotes devotion, health, environmental protection, and cultural values for locals and tourists.

Forest officials in Rajnandgaon have registered a poaching case against four men caught hunting a wild boar in Kolarghat range. The accused have been remanded by the JMFC, Dongargarh, under the Wildlife (Protection) Act.

The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will welcome its newly appointed State President Rahul Tikriha during his first visit to Rajnandgaon today. Tikriha will visit Dongargarh’s Maa Bamleshwari Temple before joining a grand series of receptions across the city, attended by senior leaders including Speaker Dr. Raman Singh.
