More than 1.08 lakh farmers in Rajnandgaon have completed Aadhaar seeding under the PM-Kisan scheme as the Agriculture Department intensifies door-to-door campaigns ahead of the proposed release of the 23rd installment.
Under the direction of Collector Jitendra Yadav, the Agriculture Department is conducting a district-wide campaign to link eligible farmers with government schemes, including completion of e-KYC, Aadhaar seeding and Agristack registration to ensure timely disbursal of the PM-KISAN 23rd installment.
Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, nearly 2.55 lakh women in Rajnandgaon receive about ₹24 crore every month through DBT, with total disbursements touching ₹507 crore across 21 instalments since March 2024.
Ahead of PM Kisan Day on November 19, the government will release the 21st PM-KISAN installment, transferring ₹20.64 crore to over 1.03 lakh farmers in Rajnandgaon district through Aadhaar-based payments. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched two major farmer welfare schemes worth over Rs 35,000 crore—Dhana-Dhanya Krishi Yojana for crop diversification and Krishak Samriddhi Yojana for direct benefit transfers—aimed at boosting productivity, promoting sustainable farming, and enhancing rural livelihoods across India. Over 1.7 crore farmers are expected to benefit, with early registrations already crossing 50 lakh.
