City Congress chief Kulbir Singh Chhabra has termed the construction of a badminton court under Rajnandgaon flyover as unconstitutional, accusing BJP of corruption and displacing small vendors.

A high-level meeting of the Digdarshan Stadium Management Committee was held under the chairmanship of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure to chart the roadmap for enhancing sports activities in Rajnandgaon. Plans include a state-of-the-art synthetic badminton court, box courts under the city flyover, and improved maintenance infrastructure, all funded by a ₹6 crore state grant.

Rajnandgaon is set to witness a historic transformation in athletics infrastructure as the government approves the construction of a state-of-the-art synthetic track, thanks to the continued efforts of Assembly Speaker and local MLA Dr. Raman Singh.
