The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has seized a residence and 10-acre apple orchard in Pulwama linked to a Hizbul Mujahideen operative, striking at the financial lifeline of terror networks in Kashmir. Valued at over ₹5 crore, the properties were attached under UAPA as part of a broader crackdown that has seen 15 arrests in the past month. Officials say the assets were used for arms storage and hawala-funded terror activities. The move, lauded by Union Home Minister Amit Shah as a “zero-tolerance” milestone, comes amid heightened security ahead of Navratri and Diwali festivals.
