A highway blockade in Rajnandgaon following the death of a factory worker ended after authorities brokered a settlement of ₹28 lakh compensation and lifelong pension support for the victim’s wife, following protests led by Congress leader Vipin Yadav.

The party accused BJP leaders of sheltering bootleggers and demanded urgent action to restore safety in the city once known for peace and culture.
