Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finnish President Alexander Stubb held constructive talks in New Delhi to strengthen India-Finland relations. The discussions focused on boosting trade, technology, and sustainability cooperation, while also emphasizing diplomatic efforts for peace in Ukraine.

In Rajnandgaon, the emotionally-driven “One Tree in Mother’s Name” campaign saw the plantation of 38,000 saplings with wide community involvement. Spearheaded by the district administration, the initiative promotes environmental sustainability while paying heartfelt tribute to mothers.

In a committed step towards environmental conservation, Executive Director of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company, Shirish Selat, led a tree plantation campaign at the Kailash Nagar power premises in Rajnandgaon. Joined by senior engineers and staff, the team planted several fruit-bearing and shady trees and pledged to ensure their long-term protection and care.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh participated in the 'Neer Aur Naari Jal Yatra' in Tedsera, Rajnandgaon, encouraging women-led efforts toward water conservation. Led by Padma Shri Phoolbasan Yadav, this green initiative has already reached 65 villages, promoting water-saving practices and environmental awareness.
