A first-of-its-kind state-level patient support group meeting for children with Type-1 Diabetes was organised in Rajnandgaon under the chairmanship of Collector Jitendra Yadav, focusing on medical guidance, emotional support, and building a strong family-based care network.
Assembly Speaker Dr Raman Singh launched the Intensified Pulse Polio Campaign 2025 in Rajnandgaon by administering polio drops to children and urging parents to ensure complete coverage for the 0–5 age group.
Rajnandgaon’s Nutrition Rehabilitation Centres have made notable progress, providing free treatment and nutrient-rich care to severely malnourished children. With 484 children successfully treated in a year, coordinated efforts led by the district administration are strengthening the fight against malnutrition.
During a comprehensive review meeting of the District Health Committee, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav announced a series of strong measures aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality. The administration will intensify high-risk pregnancy monitoring, improve ambulance services, ensure quality completion of health centres, and expand institutional deliveries across the district.
To strengthen maternal and child health, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav personally reached out to a high-risk pregnant woman to ensure timely medical care and support. The district is actively monitoring all high-risk pregnancies through weekly calls and daily home visits by Mitanins.
The Chhattisgarh Branch of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) will mark its three-day Silver Jubilee Celebration in Rajnandgaon on October 3–5 under the leadership of Padma Shri Dr. Pukhraj Bafna. The highlight will be a unique session, “Solutions Through Dialogues and Interaction”, fostering exchange between two generations to derive practical solutions for society, health, and child development.
