Under the PM-AASHA scheme, the Chhattisgarh government has announced MSP-based procurement of major pulses and oilseeds through cooperative societies. With procurement dates set between December 2025 and May 2026, farmers in Rajnandgaon are expected to benefit significantly from assured returns and expanded crop opportunities.

Rajnandgaon farmer Suresh Sinha has reaped a ₹2.35 lakh profit from tomato farming under a government-subsidized polyhouse, proving that horticulture can yield up to four times more income than traditional paddy. As part of the ongoing ‘Krishak Jodo Abhiyan,’ door-to-door awareness and village-level registration camps are being conducted to ensure all eligible farmers are registered before the August 30 deadline.
