Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam announced that ₹553.34 crore will be disbursed to 25.47 lakh farmers on August 2, 2025, as part of the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. So far, farmers in the state have received a total of ₹9765.26 crore under the scheme. The minister reaffirmed the state’s dedication to farmer welfare through timely delivery of seeds and fertilizers, paddy procurement at ₹3100/quintal, irrigation tax waivers, and targeted support for marginalized groups such as tribal farmers and vanpatta holders. Initiatives like the “Drone Didi” scheme and crop diversification efforts further highlight the government’s modern, inclusive approach to boosting agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods.
