Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Lakhnadon–Balaghat–Lanji–Khairagarh–Raipur Greenfield Expressway will be completed by December 2025. The ₹10,000 crore, 220 km high-speed corridor, pushed forward by MP Santosh Pandey’s efforts, is expected to transform regional connectivity, boost trade, tourism, and create new employment opportunities. Additionally, the Central Government has approved a ₹2,500 crore four-lane road project from Chilphi–Kawardha border to Jabalpur, further strengthening Chhattisgarh–Madhya Pradesh connectivity.
