Maratha Quota Activist Ends Hunger Strike After 5 Days as Government Accepts Reservation Demands

Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange-Patil ended his five-day hunger strike after the Maharashtra government accepted key demands, including recognition of Marathas as Kunbis and issuance of caste certificates at the taluka level. Around 80 percent of the population support for One Nation One Election

During the "One Nation One Election" seminar organized by the social organization Udayachal at the Padmashri Govindram Nirmalkar Auditorium in Rajnandgaon, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh stated that around 80 percent of the population supports the concept of simultaneous elections. He highlighted that it ensures social and economic stability. Other dignitaries, including Padmashri Dr. Pukhraj Bafna, MP Santosh Pandey, former MLA Shivratan Sharma, and Mayor Madhusudan Yadav, also strongly supported the initiative, emphasizing the benefits of reduced costs, efficient resource use, and strengthened democracy.
