In the vibrant spirit of Saawan, the women of Ward 36 in Lakholi came together for the grand ‘Saawan Sundari’ celebration, jointly organized by the South BJP Mandal Mahila Group and Nari Kalyan Self-Help Group. Adorned in traditional attire and solah shringar, participants showcased their cultural finesse through various competitions. Former MP Abhishek Singh, who graced the event as chief guest, lauded the women’s enthusiasm and called them symbols of empowerment and heritage.

Under the directive of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, a vibrant "Purple Fair" was organized at CRC Centre, Thakurtola, to empower and uplift persons with disabilities (PwDs). Former MP Abhishek Singh, the chief guest, praised the inclusive initiative that provided a platform for PwDs to showcase their talent, access skill development opportunities, and receive assistive devices like wheelchairs, hearing aids, and tricycles. Cultural events, employment stalls, science exhibitions, and a taste of traditional Chhattisgarhi cuisine added charm to the event.

Hundreds of villagers from 41 drought-affected villages of the Rajnandgaon constituency gathered at Speaker House in Raipur to express heartfelt gratitude to senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh. The long-pending Lamti Feeder Dam project, revived through his efforts, has brought crucial irrigation support to the parched region, transforming despair into hope for thousands of farmers.

Rajnandgaon MLA Dr. Raman Singh has intervened to revise the city’s power maintenance schedule following public concerns over long summer outages. Power cuts will now last from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM instead of six hours. Citizens and local leaders welcomed the swift decision, with further calls for better complaint handling and a new electricity zone.

The Rajput community in Rajnandgaon celebrated the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap with great enthusiasm, marking the day with a grand procession that reflected both cultural pride and social unity.
