The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam) successfully conducted the Excise Constable Recruitment Examination across 34 designated centers in Rajnandgaon district. A total of 11,227 candidates appeared for the examination. As per the directives of District Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Additional Collector C.L. Markandeya inspected various examination centers to ensure smooth and fair conduct of the exam.
Under the directive of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, a vibrant "Purple Fair" was organized at CRC Centre, Thakurtola, to empower and uplift persons with disabilities (PwDs). Former MP Abhishek Singh, the chief guest, praised the inclusive initiative that provided a platform for PwDs to showcase their talent, access skill development opportunities, and receive assistive devices like wheelchairs, hearing aids, and tricycles. Cultural events, employment stalls, science exhibitions, and a taste of traditional Chhattisgarhi cuisine added charm to the event.

In a significant move to simplify the application process, the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has removed the mandatory requirement of uploading a caste certificate during online application for Class 6 admission for the 2026–27 academic session. However, selected candidates will still need to submit the certificate during the admission process.
