The Sanatan Dharma Mahila Mandal organized a magnificent Sawan Teej festival at Balramdas Town Hall in Rajnandgaon, mirroring the spiritual aura of Vrindavan. With traditional dances, decorated swings, devotional fervor, and active participation of hundreds of women, the event blended faith, festivity, and cultural pride. Chief guest Dr. Varnika Sharma praised the event as a true reflection of living traditions and empowered womanhood.

In the vibrant spirit of Saawan, the women of Ward 36 in Lakholi came together for the grand ‘Saawan Sundari’ celebration, jointly organized by the South BJP Mandal Mahila Group and Nari Kalyan Self-Help Group. Under the chairmanship of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Governing Council approved development projects worth ₹60 crore, with a special focus on education, nutrition, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and infrastructure in directly and indirectly mining-affected areas.

A comprehensive training-cum-workshop was organized at the Collectorate meeting hall under the Chhattisgarh State Rural Livelihood Mission (Bihan) to strengthen the understanding of bankers on Self-Help Groups (SHGs), credit linkage, enterprise finance, online loan applications, and RBI guidelines. Presiding over the session, CEO Zila Panchayat, Ms. Suruchi Singh, emphasized the need for proactive coordination by banks in implementing government schemes under NRLM to ensure maximum benefit for SHG members. National Resource Person Mr. Sudhakar Satpati delivered detailed training on key NRLM concepts and digital financial processes. Banks and field-level functionaries who exhibited commendable performance in FY 2024–25 were felicitated with certificates and mementos.

Srimati Ramotin Thakur of Rajnandgaon was honored as a ‘Lakhpati Didi’ by District Panchayat CEO Sushri Suruchi Singh for her inspiring transformation from a homemaker to a successful farmer. Her journey, under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), showcases true women empowerment as she learned to drive a tractor and embraced modern farming techniques to achieve financial independence.

Addressing BJP workers at a workshop commemorating the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai Holkar, Sanjay Srivastava, Chairman of the Civil Supplies Corporation, emphasized her legacy as a cultural icon and pioneer of good governance and women's empowerment. He also criticized Congress for allegedly sidelining the contributions of such great personalities from Indian history.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh participated in the 'Neer Aur Naari Jal Yatra' in Tedsera, Rajnandgaon, encouraging women-led efforts toward water conservation. Led by Padma Shri Phoolbasan Yadav, this green initiative has already reached 65 villages, promoting water-saving practices and environmental awareness.

In a move to empower women workers and promote self-employment, former Chief Minister and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh distributed e-rickshaws to nine beneficiaries under the 'Didi E-Rickshaw Assistance Scheme' at Speaker House in Rajnandgaon.
