In response to the rising water level in the Mohara River due to heavy rainfall, Mayor Madhusudan Yadav conducted an inspection of the Mohara Shivnath River and the city’s water treatment facility. Accompanied by Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma and other key officials, the Mayor instructed the Water Resources Department to monitor the situation closely and open the remaining river gates once conditions permit. He emphasized the need for regular maintenance and cleaning of the anicut to restore the river’s water storage capacity, ensuring uninterrupted drinking water supply for the city.
Continuing his proactive approach to civic issues, Rajnandgaon Mayor Madhusudan Yadav visited Motipur, Ramnagar, and Khandelwal Colony early in the morning to assess water supply and sanitation concerns. He also inspected major public gardens for maintenance and development needs.
To ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply during the summer months, the Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation will release water from Mogra Reservoir on April 28. The water is expected to reach Mohara Anicut by May 6, securing sufficient water levels for continued service to city residents. The civic body, under the leadership of Mayor Madhusudan Yadav and Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma, is actively monitoring and managing water resources to prevent shortages.
Municipal Commissioner Atul Vishwakarma inspected the Mohara Water Treatment Plant, reviewed Mohara Anicut’s water levels, and issued directives for uninterrupted water supply.
