Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation organized a workshop on the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme to educate officials and employees about solar power benefits and encourage citizens to adopt clean, cost-saving energy solutions.

During a district-level review meeting, Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav called for active participation of power officials and banks in speeding up the implementation of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. He emphasized vendor accountability, weekly progress reviews, and wider public awareness to ensure citizens benefit from free solar electricity.

The PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme has transformed the life of Rajnandgaon resident Chintaram Chandravanshi, who now pays zero electricity bills after installing a 5 KW rooftop solar system. With central and state subsidies, the initiative is bringing double benefits to consumers while promoting clean energy adoption.
