Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Phase B expansion of IIT Bhilai, a ₹500 crore project aimed at advancing research, innovation, and technical education in Chhattisgarh. The initiative includes new academic blocks, AI and renewable energy labs, and housing for 1,000 additional students, aligning with NEP 2020 to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and position the state as a central hub for STEM excellence.

A unique initiative in Mohla district is empowering rural youth through masonry training under the PMAY-G scheme. Spearheaded by Collector Tulika Prajapati, the program is simultaneously creating self-employment opportunities and accelerating the completion of dream homes for villagers.

Mohla, Chhattisgarh: The Sampurnata Abhiyan Award Ceremony, held at Dussehra Ground, Mohla, honored outstanding officials and employees for their contributions under the Aspirational District Program. With stalls showcasing government schemes and SHG products, the event highlighted both administrative achievements and women-led livelihood empowerment across the tribal region.

Under the directive of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, a vibrant "Purple Fair" was organized at CRC Centre, Thakurtola, to empower and uplift persons with disabilities (PwDs). Former MP Abhishek Singh, the chief guest, praised the inclusive initiative that provided a platform for PwDs to showcase their talent, access skill development opportunities, and receive assistive devices like wheelchairs, hearing aids, and tricycles. Cultural events, employment stalls, science exhibitions, and a taste of traditional Chhattisgarhi cuisine added charm to the event.

Under the chairmanship of Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, the District Mineral Foundation (DMF) Governing Council approved development projects worth ₹60 crore, with a special focus on education, nutrition, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and infrastructure in directly and indirectly mining-affected areas.

Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal inspected the CRC Centre in Rajnandgaon, emphasizing skill development and sign language education for the differently-abled. He distributed assistive devices, interacted with beneficiaries, and directed authorities to maintain high standards in infrastructure and learning.

In a proud moment for Chhattisgarh's education sector, four lecturers from PM Shri Atmanand English Medium Schools in Rajnandgaon district have been selected to participate in a prestigious national-level Skill Development Workshop. Organized by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, the five-day workshop from April 27 to May 2, 2025, aims to empower science educators with advanced pedagogical tools, foster innovation in teaching, and enhance scientific temper among students.
