The Chhattisgarh government’s Mukhyamantri Vishesh Swasthya Sahayata Yojana has emerged as a lifeline for economically weaker patients battling serious illnesses. In a heartening success story, 58-year-old farmer Sadhuram Sahu from Rajnandgaon underwent a life-saving bone marrow transplant at a private medical center in Raipur, thanks to financial aid of ₹4.4 lakh provided under the scheme. His family has expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai for the timely assistance that gave Sadhuram a second lease on life.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai made a surprise visit to the Government District Hospital in Mahasamund on May 9, 2025, as part of the ongoing Sushasan Tihar initiative. His unannounced inspection aimed to assess the hospital's facilities, cleanliness, and staff performance. The visit is expected to lead to immediate actions for improving healthcare infrastructure in the district.

As part of the Sushasan Tihar initiative, a health camp was organized at Vicharpur Navagaon where 130 villagers underwent medical checkups, and were informed about various health schemes and services operated by the district health department.
