The Rajnandgaon district administration has nominated prominent citizens and Janpad representatives to Jivandeep Committees in Primary Health Centers, aiming to boost community-driven healthcare governance and improve rural medical services.

Former CM Dr. Raman Singh’s efforts have secured approval for the strengthening of four key rural roads in Rajnandgaon, promising improved connectivity and accelerated regional development.

Stressing the importance of girls’ education, he said, “An educated daughter uplifts the whole family.” Incentives under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, nutritional kits, and housing benefits were also distributed.

The Didi Ke Goth radio program in Rajnandgaon inspired women’s self-help groups to embrace government schemes for self-reliance. With experiences shared by successful BIHAN members, the broadcast drew enthusiastic participation from rural women across multiple blocks.

The Chhattisgarh government will launch Didi Ke Goth on August 31, a radio programme under the Bihan mission to inspire rural women through success stories of self-help groups. Broadcast across all AIR centers, the initiative seeks to strengthen women’s self-reliance and connect them with government schemes.

In Rajnandgaon’s Litia village, overcrowding in a Gauthan led to the death of four cattle due to pneumonia. District administration has begun relocating 72 stray cattle to different Gaushalas, warning that owners releasing tagged cattle irresponsibly will face strict action.

Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure inspected the Digital Crop Survey in Boirdeeh village, directing officials to complete the work on time with strict quality monitoring to benefit farmers.

Chhattisgarh Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam announced that ₹553.34 crore will be disbursed to 25.47 lakh farmers on August 2, 2025, as part of the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. So far, farmers in the state have received a total of ₹9765.26 crore under the scheme. The minister reaffirmed the state’s dedication to farmer welfare through timely delivery of seeds and fertilizers, paddy procurement at ₹3100/quintal, irrigation tax waivers, and targeted support for marginalized groups such as tribal farmers and vanpatta holders. Initiatives like the “Drone Didi” scheme and crop diversification efforts further highlight the government’s modern, inclusive approach to boosting agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods.

Rajnandgaon Collector Dr. Sarvesh N. Bhure conducted a detailed inspection of several remote villages and the Dhara Reservoir in Dongargarh block to evaluate progress under major government schemes. His field visit emphasized the need for timely execution, community participation, and sustainable development to uplift rural areas.
