Rajnandgaon Zila Panchayat CEO Durga Prasad Adhikari chaired the weekly time-limit meeting and directed officials to ensure quality disposal of CM Helpline applications and priority resolution of pending e-file cases. The meeting also reviewed preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga programme from August 9 to 17, the Independence Run on August 14, and progress of various government schemes.

The State-Level Junior Chess Championship concluded at Digvijay Stadium in Rajnandgaon with around 125 boys and girls participating. Shubham Vaishnav of Bhathagaon village met Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker and Rajnandgaon MLA Dr Raman Singh over the stalled construction of the Gathula–Bhedikala–Bhathagaon main road. He submitted a memorandum seeking immediate resumption of work, citing difficulties faced by villagers, students, farmers and school teachers due to the incomplete and damaged road.
