Villagers Protest Illegal Water Pipeline by New Look Biofuels

A major protest erupted in Phuljhar village, Rajnandgaon, against New Look Biofuels for allegedly laying an unauthorized pipeline to divert water from Kopeidih reservoir for industrial use. Led by Congress leaders Bhagwat Sahu and Jitendra Mudliyar, hundreds of villagers accused the company of depriving farmers of irrigation water. The protestors demanded immediate FIRs against company officials and complicit government officers.
