राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (NIT) रायपुर के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एवं संचार इंजीनियरिंग विभाग द्वारा "इमर्जिंग नैनोस्केल सेमीकंडक्टर टेक्नोलॉजिस: ब्रिजिंग इनोवेशन टू एप्लिकेशन" विषय पर नौ दिवसीय ऑनलाइन फैकल्टी डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम (FDP) का उद्घाटन 10 अप्रैल 2025 को किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम भारत सरकार के इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी मंत्रालय (MEITY) के अंतर्गत ईआईसीटी अकादमी के सहयोग से आयोजित हो रहा है। उद्घाटन समारोह के मुख्य अतिथि एनआईटी रायपुर के निदेशक प्रो. डॉ. एन. वी. रमना राव थे। कार्यक्रम में पेन स्टेट यूनिवर्सिटी, यूएसए के प्रो. दास द्वारा 2डी सामग्री पर विशेष व्याख्यान भी प्रस्तुत किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में देशभर से 46 से अधिक शिक्षाविदों की भागीदारी रही। एफडीपी का समन्वयन डॉ. चित्रकांत साहू द्वारा किया जा रहा है।

प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से अभनपुर-रायपुर मेमू ट्रेन सेवा का शुभारंभ किया। इस अवसर पर उन्होंने 2,695 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से पूरी हो चुकी चार रेल परियोजनाओं का लोकार्पण और सात नई रेल परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखी। इस पहल से छत्तीसगढ़ में रेल सुविधाओं का विकास होगा, जिससे यात्रियों को किफायती और सुगम परिवहन उपलब्ध होगा तथा औद्योगिक विकास को गति मिलेगी।
