The General Assembly meeting of Rajnandgaon Zila Panchayat, chaired by President Kiran Vaishnav, focused on crop diversification, water supply projects, fair price shop allocations, and a comprehensive review of departmental progress across the district.

Rajnandgaon district has launched a digital transparency drive under MGNREGA, introducing QR codes at gram panchayat offices. Villagers can now scan codes on their phones to instantly access details of sanctioned works, progress, expenditure, and worker participation from the last three years.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated development projects worth ₹2.5 crore in Sukuldaihan, including a new school building, health center, and community hall. Stressing the importance of girls’ education, he said, “An educated daughter uplifts the whole family.” Incentives under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, nutritional kits, and housing benefits were also distributed.

Chhattisgarh marked its Silver Jubilee celebrations in Rajnandgaon with a historic educational initiative. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh inaugurated a free online JEE-NEET coaching program across 11 centers, expected to benefit over 684 students with expert guidance, smart board classrooms, and study material.
