National Voters’ Day was celebrated in Rajnandgaon with District & Sessions Judge Vijay Kumar Hota stating that voting is both a constitutional right and duty. Collector Jitendra Yadav urged citizens to vote wisely beyond caste or religion. New voters were honoured, BLOs received appreciation certificates, and senior and differently-abled voters were felicitated during the district-level ceremony.

Rajnandgaon Collector Jitendra Yadav reviewed paddy procurement operations with agriculture officials, patwaris, society managers and data operators, directing faster lifting of paddy, strict action against illegal transport by middlemen, and improved storage arrangements at procurement centres. He emphasized resolving AgriStack portal issues related to farmer registration and land record corrections to ensure smooth procurement and timely support to farmers.

The ongoing Swadeshi Mela in Rajnandgaon has witnessed a surge in public participation, driven by cultural programmes, patriotic events and daily Bharat Mata Aarti. With increasing footfall, organisers have introduced revised traffic and parking arrangements to ensure smooth movement and visitor convenience.

Acting on the recommendation of Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee president Deepak Baij, the Rajnandgaon District Congress Committee has carried out a major organisational reshuffle, appointing three key office-bearers in a move seen as strengthening grassroots coordination and media outreach ahead of upcoming political challenges.
