Captain Mohit Nayak scored twice, and Karan Sahu was named Man of the Match. Meanwhile, the junior girls’ team secured a respectable fourth place at the national tournament in Kakinada, showcasing impressive performances throughout.

The Chhattisgarh sub-junior hockey team made a grand opening at the 15th Hockey India Sub-Junior National Championship by defeating Goa 4–0. The team showcased aggressive gameplay with Adarsh Raj Singh scoring twice, while Gulshan Yadav and Manish Vatti added one goal each. Hockey India President and Olympian Padma Shri Dr. Dilip Tirkey personally congratulated the players for their brilliant start.
