A meeting of the BJP Kisan Morcha district unit in Rajnandgaon highlighted the role of the organization in strengthening farmers’ voices, with MP Santosh Pandey urging party workers to actively address farmers’ concerns and promote government schemes.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Shahid Bhai targeted the BJP, alleging that in the last eight years the government has collected ₹127 lakh crore in GST from the poor, farmers, and common people. He said that due to the “Gabbar Singh Tax,” heavy burdens were imposed on agricultural equipment, textiles, stationery, and even religious essentials. Accusing the BJP of misleading the public, he said the government is portraying GST amendments as a festival while crushing the working class and middle-class families.
