A review meeting on malnutrition in Rajnandgaon took an emotional turn as Collector Jitendra Yadav, moved by the situation revealed during discussions, decided to personally take responsibility for the treatment and care of two severely malnourished children.

Allegations of corruption and irregularities have surfaced in Rajnandgaon’s municipal road construction projects, with former Congress leader Hemant Ostwal claiming that roads worth ₹10 crore remain incomplete even after 15 months. He has demanded strict intervention by the district administration.

The Public Works Department has approved ₹708.21 crore for constructing 15 four-lane roads across several districts, covering a total length of 90.5 km. The project aims to ease traffic congestion, enhance road safety, reduce travel time, and accelerate regional economic development.
